Spasm

Accused of treason and disturbance of inner peace, Robert took the floor in front of the Captain:
„Let me ask you a rhetorical question, your honor:
How would you do in my place?
I know you‘d prefer me to shut up, shut down my records and wait until grass has grown about the things that outrage me.
The problem is: You’re most perhaps a cordial, treatable person in private, supported by an army of sympathizers, but on duty one cannot trust you, because you’re a politician.
You say, you’d know more about me than I do about you, but it’s as well true, you don’t know me personally, as you do know, the stories informed to you are not much worth.
You belong to the people who know people, as you do know to err is human.
So I prefer to continue my records, as I’m used to confirm year by year.
People interested in understanding what I mean know I’m still here, and about the circumstances I exist under.
You do not know who they are and that’s good.
The methods some of our people apply are scandalous.
One needs to have a quite thick coat to stand that.
I must not care how you interprete me.
Dissidents are considered dangerous.
Trying to tempt one to act criminally has here been usual.
On the assumption follows the crime, doesn’t it?
Assassination of character isn’t too low for those people, trying to provoke one to finally escape the nation.
I did not choose my role, it was imposed to me.
No animal on earth thanks the food that comes with beats.
I do not regret having outspoken my contempt.
You cannot demand respect by the bailiff.
So you won’t leave me alone and I won’t stop to publish.
The force is behind you, and I stand alone.
I cannot better my situation, as it wouldn’t better if I was all silent.
That’s why I prefer to express myself.“

“Man wears a hat up on head, else were gloves.”
